Until October 30. A series of performances celebrating Cadiz women in flamenco. This, the 9th cycle, is dedicated to the gaditana singer, Carmen de la Jara. Regarded by the experts as the great leader of the Cadiz cantes, she has also had enormous success  interpreting other forms, such as saetas and coplas. A multi-award-winning singer, she has performed throughout Spain, and frequently abroad during her 35-year career, and is recognised in all anthologies of flamenca greats.

Each Friday, a different artist will celebrate her work. Dates and details are as follows:

October 2: singer María Martínez and guitarist Paco Fontao;
October 9: Remedios Reyes and Paco Lara
October 16: a dance spectacular by Lidia Cabello and her dance group.
October 23: Rocío Ruiz singing, and  Israel Heredia on guitar, at Cajasol (Plaza de San Antonio).
October 30: Mari Peña and the guitarist Antonio Moya.
All performances start at 10pm, Peña Flamenca Juanito Villar at the entrance to Playa Caleta, Cadiz (unless otherwise stated).
